Several events benefit American Red Cross
March is Red Cross Month and the American Red Cross is seeking the public’s support in the following ways:
c An online auction through Saturday at hawaiiredcross.org. The public can bid on airline travel and hotel stays to the West Coast and neighbor islands; hotel stays in London, Seoul, South Korea, and Beijing; a Toyota Prius; restaurants; theater; golf ;and more.
c Pizza Hut and Taco Bell from Wednesday through March 19 will donate $1 to the Hawaii Red Cross for each purchase of nine-piece pizza sliders and Cool Ranch Doritos taco box meal.
c Hats Off event is from Friday through March 17. It is the annual fundraising event where volunteers will take their hats off to the Red Cross and ask the public for donations. Volunteers will be at Walmart From Friday through March 17 and at KTA Kailua and Lanihau Center on Saturday.
c Aloha Petroleum during March and April will have customer donation canisters for the Hawaii Red Cross at its stores.
The Red Cross is not a government agency and relies on the generosity of Hawaii’s people to provide humanitarian services to the community.
