More than 100 8- to 13-year-old inventors worked with “inventor-mentors” at iTEAM’s President’s Day invention workshop and fair, held at the Kailua-Kona Home Depot.
Children dismantled everyday appliances and used the parts to design and build fantasy inventions. The young inventors also completed journals and received awards for their work. The event is televised on KLEI and Na Leo O Hawaii.
