Frederic Rubin

Frederic Samuel Rubin, 90, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 20, 2013, at his residence. Born Dec. 10, 1922 in Galveston, Texas, he was retired from Eagle Distributors and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. March 17 at Hale Halawai for a 10:30 a.m. service. For information, call 329-9546. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745.

He is survived by wife, Mary Rubin of Kailua-Kona; sons, Dale (Melanie) Rubin of Grundy, Va., Donald (Janice) Rubin of Sacramento, Calif., Freddie Rubin Jr. and David Rubin, both of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Janese Rubin of Oakland, Calif., Linda Rubin and Marsha Rubin, both of Burleson, Texas, Angie (Peter) Dungate of Kailua-Kona; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
