Karen Yukiko Mapuana Yoshida, 66, of Naalehu, died Feb. 18, 2013, at her home. Born Aug. 8, 1946, in Pahala, she was retired from MacFarms of Hawaii and a member of Kauahaao Congregational Church in Waiohinu.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. March 9 at Kauahaao Congregational Church in Waiohinu for an 11 a.m. service. The family requests aloha attire be worn.

She is survived by son, Berkeley (Leanette) Yoshida of Pahala; brothers, Allen (Ann) Yoshida of Maryland, Benjamin (Shirley) Brown of Hilo; sister, Marie Ah Yee of Naalehu; hanai brother, Dayton Beck of Naalehu; hanai sister, Kalei (Ike) Beck of Naalehu; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
