With one out, Leffler doubled to center and advanced to third on a balk by Hawaii reliever Matt Cooper. After David Compitello struck out swinging, Cooper walked Brady Wilkin, and Tauchman singled to right field.
Cooper (0-1), who gave up a run on two hits in 1 2/3 innings, took the loss. Starter Connor Little went seven innings, allowing five runs on eight hits. He struck out six and walked one.
Before Tauchman’s game-winning single, Hawaii (0-10) scored three runs in the top of the eighth, getting a run-scoring single from Marc Flores before pinch hitter Trevor Podratz lined a game-tying two-run double down the right-field line.
Leadoff hitter Kaeo Aliviado went 3-for-5, while Alan Baldwin and Adam Hurley each were 2-for-5 for the Warriors.
Bradley reliever Brent Stong (2-1), one of four pitchers who took the mound for the Braves (3-6), earned the win by pitching the final 1 2/3 innings.

In a nutshell: Seniors Jace Tevita, Vander Joaquim and Hauns Brereton will play at Stan Sheriff Center for the final time at 7:30 p.m. today, when the Warriors host Cal Poly in their last home game of the season. Tevita, Joaquim and Brereton combined to score 47 points in the team’s 70-66 win over UC-Santa Barbara on Thursday, putting Hawaii a half-game behind Pacific for second place in the Big West. … UC-Irvine and Cal Poly, tied for fourth in the Big West, are a half-game behind Hawaii. … In the last meeting between the Warriors and the Mustangs (14-12, 9-6), Cal Poly rolled to an 88-59 win in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The Mustangs shot 56 percent from the field and made 11 3-pointers in the game. Since that loss, Hawaii has won seven of its past nine games.

SOFTBALL
Hawaii 5, Western Kentucky 1: Kelly Majam homered, tripled and scored two runs, and Keiki Carlos added a two-run homer as the Rainbow Wahine opened the Bank of Hawaii Invitational in Honolulu with a victory.
Kaia Parnaby (8-2) pitched her eighth complete game of the season, allowing a run on six hits. She struck out nine and walked two as No. 20 Hawaii improved to 10-4.
The Rainbow Wahine scored two runs in bottom of the first, with Kayla Wartner lining an RBI single and later scoring from third base on a double steal. Carlos made it 4-0 in the third with her second home run of the year — a two-run shot to left.
Majam, who finished 2-for-2, added her fifth homer in the fifth.
Emily Rousseau took the loss for Western Kentucky (5-4). In 4 1/3 innings, she gave up five runs on five hits, striking out seven and walking one. Preslie Cruce led the Hilltoppers at the plate, going 2-for-3.

Cal State Northridge def. Hawaii 25-21, 17-25, 26-24, 25-23: No. 11 Hawaii fell to No. 8 Cal State Northridge in four sets on Friday at Stan Sherriff Center. Brook Sedore led the Warriors (5-11, 4-9 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) with 17 kills, five aces and a block. Sinisa Zarkovic added 13 kills and two blocks.
For Northridge (8-6, 6-6), John Baker led the way with 19 kills, three blocks and one ace. Brandon Lebrock followed with 17 kills, three aces and two blocks. The two teams play again Sunday.

Junior Vicky Tagalicod, a Hilo High graduate, scored 10 points in the game. … Junior forward Kamilah Martin (15.1 points per game) became the second women’s basketball player to amass 900 rebounds.
