Maria Corpuz
Maria Yago Corpuz, 78, of Hilo died Feb. 9, 2013, at Hospice, Hilo Medical Center. Born April 20, 1934, in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a retired housekeeper from the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort, formerly the Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Resort, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Novena Puainako Group.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. March 8, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may again call at 11 a.m. March 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a noon Mass. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park Ilima Section. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by husband, Irineo Corpuz of Hilo; sons, Eddie (Aida) Corpuz of Ookala, Carlito (Prixcynet) Corpuz of Pepeekeo; daughters, Corazon (Mel) Miranda of Ookala, Myrna (Nestor) Ibarra of Ewa Beach, Oahu, Maggie (Orlando) Palafox of Paauhau, Grace (Marion) Bartolome of Kohala, Rowena (Roger) Jacinto of Hilo; brother, Sotero Yago of Paauilo; sister, Hilaria Yago of the Philippines; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Matthew Pacheco
Matthew Floyd Pacheco, 68, of Hilo died Feb. 24, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local Union 3 and a Navy veteran.
A graveside service will take place at noon March 5 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Fay Pacheco of Hilo; sons, Kevin (Donna) Pacheco, Jason (Grace) Pacheco and Kaleikini Pacheco, all of Honolulu, Ryan Pacheco and Kaimi (Naomi) Pacheco, both of Hilo; daughters, Cindy (Harold) Manaois, Liko (Charlton) Wallace and Rhonda (Richard) Negrillo, all of Molokai; sister, Eva (Arnold) Hashimoto of Kona; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Lillian Miulan Hose, 83, of Kaneohe, Oahu, died Feb. 21, 2013, at Castle Medical Center. Born March 14, 1929, in Hilo, she was a homemaker.

Larry Morez
Larry Dennis Morez, 70, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 26, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 23, 1943, in Chicago, he was an artist and Vietnam veteran.
Private burial is planned at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona.
He is survived by brother, Nick (Ida) Mousouris of Boulder, Colo.; a nephew, Christos Mousouris of Seal Beach, Calif.
