Elaine Ahu

Elaine Marie Ahu, 74, of Hilo, died Feb. 12, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 2, 1939, in Hilo, she was a janitor for Waiakea High School.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 3 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by sister, Carol Luciano of Hilo; granddaughter, Taiana Ahu of Hilo; grandson, Tyler Matsumoto of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rhonda Ahu

Rhonda Lynn Alohalani Ahu, 45, of Hilo died Feb. 12, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 7, 1967, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and caregiver.

Lambert Nalimu

Lambert Kalani Nalimu, 43, of Keaau died Feb. 4, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a former income tax preparer for H&R Block.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. March 1 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. March 2 at the mortuary for a 9 a.m. prayer service. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 1. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by brothers, John (Joyce) Nalimu of Hilo, Alex (Debbie) Cadelario of Wisconsin; sisters, Sherry (Steve) Bass of California, Nadine (Joe) Taylor, Eunice Bagorio and Lorna (Rodney Ofisa) Sordillia, all of Hilo, Mary (Manuel) Delos Santos of Honolulu, Nadiline (Steve) Frendo of Kona, Laura (Reggie Tankson) Sordillia of Illinois,; hanai sister, Rahel Selemon of Keaau; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Kaoru Higaki

Kaoru Higaki, 81, of Hilo died Feb. 18, 2013, at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Feb. 10, 1932, in Pepeekeo, he was a retired civil engineer employed by the state Department of Accounting and General Services and member of Hilo Coast United Church of Christ, South Panaewa Kumiai, American Society of Civil Engineers and former director of Hawaii Island Community Development Corp.

Friends may call at 1:30 p.m. March 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 3 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Carrie Higaki of Hilo; sons, Galen (Michelle) Mizuguchi, Regan (Christie) Mizuguchi, Russell (Gizelle) Mizuguchi and Darryl Mizuguchi, all of Hilo; brothers, Hiroshi (Jean) Higaki and Shiro (Jane) Higaki, both of Aiea, Oahu; sisters, Jane (Masatoshi) Matsubara of Kaneohe, Oahu, Bettie Kakemoto of Wahiawa, Oahu, Aileen Keliikuloa, Michiko Higaki and Esther Higaki, all of Honolulu; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

David Rosario, 73, of Hilo died Feb. 14, 2013, at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Jan. 20, 1940, in Olaa, he retired as a supervisor from the former Hilo Coast Sugar Plantation and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Puna Indians and Umauma Softball Teams andHawaii Army Air National Guard and anArmy veteran.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

Anastacio “Arthur” Bibilone, 94, of Hilo died Feb. 20, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 31, 1918, in Cebu, Philippines, he was an automotive parts clerk for Parts Center of Hawaii in Hilo and member of the Wander’s Golf Club.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Feb. 28 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section). Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Trinidad Bibilone of Hilo; sons, Calvin (Elizabeth) Bibilone of Texas, Clark (Geri) Bibilone of Hilo; daughters, Veronica Bibilone and Pamela Bibilone, both of Hilo; stepdaugthers, Roxanne (Roger) Onuma of Honolulu, Roberta Ruggieri of San Diego; brothers, Pablo (Lauriana) Bibilone of Mountain View, Richard (Flora) Bibilone of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
