Michael “Sifu Mike” Maurice Vendrell, 59, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 17, 2013, at his home. Born Nov. 18, 1953, in Los Angeles, he was a martial arts master, healer, teacher and Hollywood stuntman.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. Feb. 13 at OTEC/NELHA beach park for a celebration of life potluck.

He is survived by wife, Stephanie Vendrell of Kailua-Koan; daughters, Jamie (Eric Lammerman) Vendrell of Kailua-Kona, Heather (Jonathan) Arthur of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; mother, Maureen Vendrell of Kula, Maui; sisters, Nancy Vendrell of Kula, Maui, Susan (Donald) Wilbur of Eugene, Ore.; hanai mother, Barbara (Edwin) Nobriga Sr. of Honalo; one grandson; numerous hanai children, nieces and nephews.
