Arline Macanas

Arline Joyce Macanas, 68, of Keaau died Feb. 8, 2013, at home. Born March 3, 1944, in Honokaa, she was a manager for the Keaau Village Market and member of the Kaahumanu Society.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. Feb. 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, for a noon Mass. Burial is at Alae Cemetery. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Rudolf Macanas of Keaau; sons, Bert (Kathy Kataoka) Macanas of Keaau, Ross (Leanne Kapahu) Macanas of Hilo, Cary (Leila) Macanas of Kurtistown; daughters, Monica (Donnley Koga) Macanas of Mountain View, Ingrid (Brad Jeremiah) Mundon of Las Vegas; brothers, Wayne (Gloria) Lukzen and Mark (Dale) Lukzen, both of Honokaa; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one uncle; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
