West Hawaii Dance Academy will perform selections from “The Red Poppy Ballet” at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Hilton Waikoloa Resort’s Grand Ballroom, as part of the resort’s Chinese New Year celebration.

West Hawaii Dance Academy will perform selections from “The Red Poppy Ballet” at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Hilton Waikoloa Resort’s Grand Ballroom, as part of the resort’s Chinese New Year celebration.

Dancers will perform the Ribbon Dance, Umbrella Dance and a Butterfly Pas de deux, to name a few, with choreography by West Hawaii Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director Virginia Holte and Assistant Director Midori Satoh.

West Hawaii Dance Theatre and Academy is a nonprofit educational arts organization sponsored in part by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Hawaii Community Foundation, Vance Wall Foundation and local families and businesses.
