Nancy Barawis David, 76 of Hookena, died Feb. 4, 2013, at her daughter’s residence in Waimanalo, Oahu. Born on March 6, 1936, in South Kona, she was a baker for ABC Bakery in Waipahu and a retired custodian at Waipahu High School. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Keei Ward.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. for visitation Feb. 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Keei Ward in Honaunau. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Feb. 16 at the church for a 10 a.m. funeral service, followed by a burial at the Saints Family Cemetery in Keei. The family requests casual attire be worn and flowers are welcome.

She is survived by husband, Russel David Sr., of Hookena; sons, Russel (Maile) David II of Hookena, Freeman David of Honolulu; daughters, Sheila David of Waimanalo, Shirley (Robert) Abad of Hookena; brothers, Pedro (Jaime) Barawis of Captain Cook, Ronald Barawis of Holualoa; sisters, Julia Bailado of Honaunau, Linda (Ray) Molina of Pahoa, Matty Alcoran of Holualoa, Blossom Barawis of Kailua-Kona; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
