Punahou turned the tables on the Waveriders Friday in the Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I state semifinals, handing them their first loss of the season.

Big Island Interscholastic Federation champ Kealakehe (15-1-1) will take on Maui Interscholastic League champion Kamehameha-Maui (12-3-1) at 3 p.m. today in the tournament’s third-place match.

Kendall Nishina and Blaine Granger staked the Buffanblu to a 2-0 lead, scoring in the 11th and 14th minutes, respectively. Then Dinsmore found the back of the net in the 22nd and 69th minutes.
