Senior Adryan Vidad scored in the 49th minute for the Vikings (8-6-2), cutting the lead to 5-1 at Oahu’s Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex. Hilo, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation runner-up, will face Campbell (8-6-1) of the Oahu Interscholastic Association at 1 p.m. today in a consolation match.
Seniors Steve Teshima, Jarrett Hayama, Marcus White and junior Ryan Bui added goals for the Falcons (12-1-1), an OIA team that advanced to face top-seeded Mililani in the quarterfinals.
In another quarterfinal today, BIIF champion Kealakehe (14-0-1), the third seed, will face Kapolei (12-1-1) at 3 p.m. The Hurricanes, the OIA runner-up, blanked Kaiser 4-0.
