Katie Keliiweloa Andrade, 76, of Keei died Jan. 26 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Kahauloa, South Kona, she was a teacher at Punana Leo O Kona, as well as formerly employed at Ege Store and Masuhara Farm and Store. She was also a Kahikolu Congregational Church member.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 at Kahikolu Congregational Church in Napoopoo for a 10 a.m. memorial service. The family requests casual attire worn. Flowers and lei are welcome. Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 538, Captain Cook, HI 96704-0538.
She is survived by sons, Alan (Betty) Andrade Jr. of Keei, Dwayne (Melinda) Andrade of Keei Beach, Earl Andrade of Keei; daughters, Bonnie Andrade of Keei, Dorothy (Konrad) Andrade-Wegner of Kealia, Dawn (Sione) Palaimaea of Navutoka, Tonga; sisters, Francis Kamela (Henry) Deniz of Keei mauka, Winnifred Kaohu (David) Chang-Monfort of Milolii; brothers, Edward Chang of Lanai City, Clement Chang of Hilo; hanai brother, Wendell Lewis of Kaneohe, Oahu; 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
