Gladys Kukana Grace, 93, of Honolulu, died Jan. 17, 2013, in the Kuakini Medical Center Oleomoana in South Kona. Born Dec. 12, 1919, she was a master lauhala weaver and teacher, as well as a retired employee for the Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange.

Gladys Kukana Grace, 93, of Honolulu, died Jan. 17, 2013, in the Kuakini Medical Center Oleomoana in South Kona. Born Dec. 12, 1919, she was a master lauhala weaver and teacher, as well as a retired employee for the Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 at Kaimuki Christian Church, where a 10 a.m. service will be held. Private committal service to follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park. The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Ted Grace of Honolulu, Roger (Bernie) Grace of Mililani; brothers, Calvin Ontai of Honaunau, Johnson Puou of Kapolei; sisters, Bessie Thums of Ewa Beach, Elizabeth Parker of Honolulu, Darly Cockett of Waiehu; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
