Norio Yoshioka, 84, of Papaikou died Jan. 17, 2013, at the Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Papaikou, he was the retired owner of N. Yoshioka Auto Body Repair and a member of the Hiroshima Kenjin Kai.

Private services were held. The family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts).

He is survived by his wife, Tamayo Yoshioka of Papaikou; daughters, Corinne Taggart of Las Vegas, Nevada, Avis Joy (Roy) Fukuoka of Anchorage, Alaska; sons, Wayne (Vicki) Yoshioka of Honolulu, Darrell (Florence) Yoshioka of Hilo; brother, Fumio (Yoshiko) Yoshioka of Papaikou; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
