An autopsy conducted today determined 38-year-old Lloyd Rubio of Hilo died of a stab wound to the abdomen that struck his aorta, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

An autopsy conducted today determined 38-year-old Lloyd Rubio of Hilo died of a stab wound to the abdomen that struck his aorta, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide, and toxicological results are pending, according to police.

Rubio died Sunday following a stabbing reported at 5:19 a.m. at a Kaumana Drive residence, according to police.

Cherie Sueko Moskwa, 37, also of Hilo, remains in police custody while detectives continue the investigation, according to police. She was arrested Monday on suspicion of second-degree murder.
