Dean Wesley Ponggan, 66, of Hilo died Dec. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kohala, he was a retired truck driver for HPM.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 22 at Berean Bible Church, 402 Lama St., for an 11 a.m. service.
He is survived by wife, Mary Ponggan of Hilo; sons, Mel Lehano, Malcolm Lehano and Charles Fenenbock, all of Hilo; daughter, Melanie Lehano of Hilo; sisters, Collen Weza of Oregon, Deanna Kanuha of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
