Richard Ichiro Nakamura, 91, of Hilo died Dec. 2 at Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Hilo, he was employed in the automotive sales business and was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Waiakea Pirates Athletic Club and Hawaii AJA Memorial Baseball League.
Private services were held. Family requests no flowers of monetary gifts.
He is survived by sons, Greg (Jo-Lyn) Nakamura of Hilo, Russ (Charlene) Nakamura of Honolulu; sisters, Sadako (Shigeo) Toyama and Itsue Yamasaki, both of Hilo, Alice Char of Honolulu; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
