With its victory, defending BIIF Division I champion Kealakehe (3-0) moved into a first-place tie with Hilo in the BIIF Division I standings.

Freshman Greyson Moore shut out the Division II Lions (2-2) in goal.

The Waveriders received a boost with the return of sweeper Jason Kuwada, who sat out the team’s first two games while recovering from a concussion.

c Honokaa 3, Konawaena 2: Streaking down the right flank with about five minutes remaining, senior Pedro Sanches scored the go-ahead goal off a pass from senior Clayton Robinson as host Honokaa improved to 4-0.

J.G. Replogle had tied the match for Konawaena (2-1) five minutes earlier with his second goal of the game and 10th of the season.

Robinson and junior Seanry Agbayani also scored for the Dragons, and Kekoa Phenecie added an assist.

Girls

c Kealakehe 4, Makua Lani 0: At Old Kona Airport Park, Ana Tuppein capped the scoring in the 64th minute with her second goal in as many games as the Waveriders improved to 4-0.

Kiana Fudala and Logan Harris also found the back of the net for Kealakehe, and the Waveriders also benefitted from an own goal.

Goalkeeper Sulley Schuster blanked the Lions (1-3).

c Konawaena 6, Honokaa 1: Senior Saxon Nagata recorded her second consecutive two-goal game, and Melissa Gouveia also scored twice, leading the visiting Wildcats to their fourth straight victory.

Kaulana Ruedy collected her eighth goal, and Ua Ruedy scored her fifth for Konawaena (4-1).

Monica Carlos tallied the lone goal for Honokaa (1-1).
