Seniors Saxon Nagata and Ua Ruedy each scored twice, leading Konawaena’s girls soccer team to a 6-3 victory over Waiakea in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation match.

The Wildcats, also getting goals from Kaulana Ruedy and Pualani Ubando, improved to 3-1. Konawaena overcame a hat trick by Waiakea’s Cheylee Octavio, who scored her first three goals of the season.

The Warriors dropped to 1-3.

c Hawaii Prep 11, Ka‘u 0: Junior forward Nanea Tavares notched a hat trick in Pahala, giving her four goals for the season, while freshman Marlie Mandaguit and senior Rae Kennon each scored twice for HPA.

Seniors Emily Evans and Jasmine Fojas, and sophomores Gabbie Ewing and Ella Kotner added a goal apiece for Ka Makani, which improved to 3-0. Junior goalkeeper Morgan Monahan blanked the Trojans (0-2) .

c Kealakehe 7, Keaau 0: Sophomore Lexie Cuaresma netted her second consecutive three-goal game.

Jade Richmond scored twice, while Kailii Smith and Ana Tuppein added goals for Kealakehe (3-0), which led 6-0 at halftime.

Sulley Schuster and Kealia Wolfe combined to shut out Keaau (2-1) in goal.

Boys

c Hilo 3, Parker 1: Junior Dylan Silva scored twice, and senior Dane Miyata collected his second goal of the season for the visiting Vikings (2-0).

Senior Paul Gregg scored his third goal in as many games for the Bulls (0-3).

c Konawaena 4, Waiakea 0: J.G. Replogle picked up his second straight hat trick, scoring three goals in Kealakekua to give him eight for the season as the Wildcats improved to 2-0.

Coran Yamamoto tallied the other goal for Konawaena, while Gerardo Meneses blanked the Warriors (0-3) in goal.

c Kealakehe 5, Keaau 2: Senior Avery Hardie-Jordan scored twice to power the visiting Waveriders (2-0).

Connor Keale, Scott Henderson and Nick Joersz added goals. Matthew Shimabukuro scored both goals for the Cougars (1-2).

c Hawaii Prep 7, Ka‘u 0: Freshman Justin Perry scored twice in Pahala as Ka Makani improved to 3-0.

Kepa Police scored his fourth goal, while Ryan Vasquez, Jack Austin and Juan Miche-Rosales also scored for HPA. Kyle Hollister shut out the Trojans (1-2) in goal.
