Kenneth “Alfalfa” Leroy Perreira Sr., 69, of Hilo died Dec. 3 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired commercial salesman for R & G Tire Center Inc., a Vietnam era Army veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and Hawaii Classic Cruisers Car Club.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Dec. 10 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo, for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends also may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo, for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Deidre Perreira of Hilo; sons, Kenneth Perreira Jr. of Hilo, Timothy (Tierra) Perreira of Kauai; daughters, Amenda (Gerard) Moses of Pepeekeo, Melissa Barretto of Kauai; brother, Carl (Terry) Perreira of Hilo; sisters, Geraldine Carreira and June (Richard) Ha, both of Hilo; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
