North Hawaii Community Hospital is working with Healthcare Association of Hawaii and other hospitals and health care providers statewide to conduct a community health needs assessment.

Hospital officials are asking community members to complete the assessment by sharing health-related issues and concerns.

“We encourage North Hawaii residents to participate in this assessment, so NHCH can gain a greater understanding of the health concerns within our community,” CEO William Brown said. “Your feedback will enable us to better coordinate limited resources to address top level health concerns and ensure we continue to meet the needs of our community. Your input is vitally needed.”

The confidential assessment poses 10 questions related to health care concerns. It is available online at surveymonkey.com/s/HawaiiCommunitySurvey2012 or HAH.org and should takes less than five minutes to complete. The survey is available until Dec. 21.

Information from the survey will be used to satisfy governmental regulations and for strategic planning purposes.
