Kera Akiyama scored twice Tuesday to lift the Warriors past Waiakea 2-0 in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation girls soccer match at Paiea Field in Keaau.
Kamehameha (1-1) was coming off a 3-0 defeat to Hawaii Prep in its opener and was looking for a boost ahead of a trip to Bayfront on Thursday to face Hilo.
Up stepped Akiyama. The Warriors’ prolific scoring senior found the net off assists from junior Harper Hottendorf and senior Cody Kualii.
Senior Lehua McGuire shut out Waiakea (1-2) in goal.
c Keaau 4, Christian Liberty 0: Shani Cosma netted her fourth and fifth goals of the season to lead the visiting Cougars (2-0).
Naia Blackford added her third goal and Alyssa Huihui also scored.
Krisann Isomura and Avery Jarvis combined in goal to shut out the Canefire (0-3).

c Christian Liberty 6, Keaau 0: Junior Nakaya Kerr netted a hat trick, giving him five goals on the season, as the Canefire (2-0) won at home.
Junior Louis Moylan and sophomore Sequoya Kerr scored for the second straight match, and Keenan Freitas also found the back of the net against the Cougars (1-1).
Senior Keanu Bergfeld earned the shutout.
