Dunn Gallery is hosting the third annual Ornaments and Ornamental Turning showcase now through Christmas Eve. It features works created exclusively on an ornamental lathe, as well as a variety of wood ornaments.

Dunn Gallery is hosting the third annual Ornaments and Ornamental Turning showcase now through Christmas Eve. It features works created exclusively on an ornamental lathe, as well as a variety of wood ornaments.

Ornaments created for The West Hawaii Woodturners Holiday Ornament Fundraiser are also on display during the exhibition. These ornaments are either free standing or hanging. Gallery artists are contributing to the display with assorted wood ornaments ranging from sculptural to band-saw. Four ornamental wood artists are presenting specialized turnings at this exhibit.

Kailua-Kona resident John Spitzenberger is showing his threaded boxes and pods. Bill Ooms of Arizona is introducing a tri-layered box and bowl. Dewey Garrett, also from Arizona, is exhibiting ornate compact boxes featuring sonnets by William Shakespeare. Oregonian Randy Rhine is showcasing boxes with inlay made from a variety of exotic woods.
