The Department of Water supply reports a main break occurred near Anderton Camp in Papaikou South Hilo earlier this afternoon. At this time, Papaikou area customers located mauka of Hawaii Belt Highway including all side roads and streets connected to Anderton Camp, Silverton Camp, Moirton Camp, Kalaoa, Kaieie, Puueopaku, and Paukaa may experience little to no pressure in their water service while DWS work crews conduct repairs.

Department of Water Supply work crews are mobilizing to the repair site. Repairs are estimated repairs to be completed by 11 p.m. tonight.
