Kent Kaneko Sr.

Kent S. Kaneko Sr., 63, of Hilo died Nov. 19 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a former mechanic of Roberts Tours and Gray Line and proprietor of Kent’s Auto Repair.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Nov. 30 at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home for a 7 p.m. service. Burial is at 10 a.m. Dec. 1 at Veterans Cemetery II. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Doreen Paulos Kaneko of Hilo; son, Kent Kaneko Jr. of Hilo; daughters, Tanya Kaneko and Sherry Taheri, both of Kona; mother, Sumiko Johnson of Hilo; brothers, Milton Kaneko of Mountain View, Russell (Lisa Javier) Kaneko and Delton (Lori) Kaneko, both of Hilo, Sheldon Kaneko of Oregon, Reed (Lacsamie) Kaneko of Honomu; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
