Ken Osamu Yanagisawa, 43, of Hilo died Nov. 17 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama facility. Born March 9, 1969, in Hilo, he was employed as a planner by Hawaii Electric Light Co. and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Friends may call at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 5 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Penny Yanagisawa of Hilo; daughter, Miya Yanagisawa of Hilo; son, Landon Yanagisawa of Hilo; parents, Wayne and Kathryn Yanagisawa of Hilo; brother, Donn (Lisa) Yanagisawa of Keaau; maternal grandfather, Alex Inouye of Pepeekeo; a niece; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
