Cancer support group meets at Teshima’s
A cancer support group meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday7 at Teshima’s Restaurant in Honalo. People newly diagnosed with breast cancer, or any other form of cancer, and breast cancer survivors, caregivers and family members are welcome. The group meets to share cancer-related issues and support one another.

Tomita to present acid reflux treatment lecture
The public is invited to Kona Hospital Foundation’s free informal lecture with Dr. Nathan Tomita from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Community Meeting Hale, Building G, at the West Hawaii Civic Center.
Tomita, a general surgeon, will speak about gastroesophageal reflux disease. He will introduce a new incisionless surgical treatment option available in West Hawaii for chronic acid reflux sufferers. Informational handouts will be available.
