Richard Shikuma
Richard H. Shikuma, 95, of Hilo died Nov. 1 at Pohai Malama Hospice facility. Born in Honohina, he a retired captain (chief fiscal officer) with the Hawiai County Police Department, a former manager of Security Title Corp. in Hilo, World War II Army veteran serving with the Military Intelligence Agency and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts.
He is survived by son, Craig (Linda) Shikuma of Hilo; daughter, Rae (Brendan) Loui of Honolulu; brother, Atoru Shikuma of Hilo; sister, Helen (Noboru) Yanagihara of Hilo; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
