Manuel Alton Souza Dias, 58, of Papaaloa died Nov. 5 at his residence. Born Sept. 1, 1954, in Laupahoehoe, he was retired from the Hawaii County Department of Public Works Road Department.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Gail Dias of Papaaloa; son, Shannon Dias of Papaaloa; daughters, Denise (Joseph) Ah Choy III of Waipunalei, Jessica (Justin) Hisashima of Keaau, Mandy (Kalei Jardine) Dias of Kapehu; mother, Helen Figuera of Paauilo; brother, Jeffrey (Diana) Dias of Paauilo; sisters, Susan (Roger) Wood of Kalopa, Sheila Dias of Paauilo; hanai brother, Effren (Tammy) Pascua of Paauilo; four grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
