Robert Saladaga Sr.

Robert Earl Kailiala Saladaga Sr., 76, of Lihue, Kauai, died Nov. 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Wailua, Kauai, he was a retired technical sergeant and aerospace control and warning system technician for the Hawaii Air National Guard.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Kauai Veterans Center for a 10:30 a.m. celebration of life with military honors to follow. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by daughters, Earlene (PhiliP) Wilson of Oahu, Nadine (Jesse) Quides of Vallejo, Calif., Charlene (Dean) Sacramed of Kapaa, Kauai, Raeleen (Salvador) Salinas of South Carolina; son, Robert Saladaga Jr. of Hilo; sisters, Augusta Shumacher and Theresa Yoshioka, both of Lihue, Kauai, Beatrice Miller of Alabama, Roberta Consibog of Waianae, Oahu, Gladys Costa-Ayres of Koloa, Kauai, Juanita Freeman of Washington; brother, George Saladaga of New Jersey; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
