Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Friday afternoon brush fire that consumed about 4 acres in Volcano.

The fire, reported about 3:12 p.m. in grassland near Keauhou Ranch, was declared about 95 percent contained by early Saturday, according to the Hawaii Fire Department. Mop up efforts continued Saturday.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened by the fire, which broke out in Bishop Estate land near the Keauhou Bird Sanctuary.
