Kenneth Furuta
Kenneth Yoshio Furuta, 71, of Mountain View, died Oct. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born July 15, 1941, in Olaa, he was a retired supervisor for the Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation, an Army veteran and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission and Baldwin Kumiai.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no monetary gifts.
He is survived by brothers, Thomas (Sharon) Furuta of Milwaukee, James (Gayle) Furuta of Atlanta, Bert (Debra) Furuta of Port Orchard, Wash.; aunts, nieces and nephews.
