Edward Murty Jr., 66, of Waimea died Oct. 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was the manager and landscape contractor for Pacific Island Trees and previously a firefighter for the Honolulu Fire Department
Freinds may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at the family’s home, 64-149 Mamalahoa Highway, for a memorial garthering. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Enid Murty of Waimea; daughter, Tania Nahoopii of Honolulu; son, Edward Nahoopii of Tennessee; sister, Kaipo Simonelli of Washington; a granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
