Joseph “Joe Boy” Iokewe Mukini Jr., 51, of Ocean View died Sept. 25 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 8, 1960, in Pahala, he was an auto mechanic and a football coach for the Pop Warner Lions.
Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Naalehu Methodist Church for a 10 a.m. service.
He is survived by companion, Cindy Grace of Ocean View; daughters, Joanna (David) Stevens of Johnstown, Pa., April Jarra of Honolulu, Fernanda (Keoni) Corpuz of Montz, La., Jewel Mukini of Graham, Wash., Rena Mukini, Raeann Mukini and Raelyn Mukini, all of Wailuku, Maui, Chazlyn Mukini of South Point; sons, Jonah Mukini, Jared Guillermo and Joseph Mukini III, all of Wailuku, Maui, Jocyiah Mukini and Jycetin Mukini, both of South Point; sisters, Irjina Kaawa of Kamaoa, Joycelend (Gilbert) Damasco of Kailua-Kona; brother, Joseph Manuel of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
