Himeo Hayashida, 77, of Hilo died Oct. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired teacher with the former Laupahoehoe High School and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary donations.
He is survived by wife, Jane Hayashida of Hilo; eaughter, Kim (Daryl) Sakoda of Hilo; sons, Guy (Karen) Fukushima of Hilo, Cory (Beverly) Fukushima of Kaneohe, Oahu; sister, Teruko (Takeshi) Tabata of Waipahu, Oahu; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
