Kenneth “Kenny” James Bittle, 65, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 13 at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born July 11, 1947, in Santa Clara, Calif., he was a roofer, fisherman and gardener.

He is survived by mother, Claire McLean of Raymond, Calif.; companion, Pamela Bittle of Hilo; sons, Nathan (Robin) Bittle of Daytona Beach, Fla., Matthew Ferino Bittle of Kailua-Kona; stepdaughter, Paris Kapuniai of Hilo; sisters, Christine Bittle of Raymond, Calif., Jeannine (Dave) Kelly of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Mark (Joanne) Bittle of Hilton, N.Y.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
