Kazuno Sugihara
Kazuno Sugihara, 96, of Hilo and formerly of Pahoa, died Sept. 30 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Oct. 2, 1915, in Pahoa, she was a retired housewife, provided child and adult care to numerous Pahoa families and was member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Buddhist Women’s Association, Pahoa Higashi Machi Kumiai, Pahoa Nikkeijin Kai and Hiroshima Kenjin Kai.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by son, Robert Sugihara, of Hilo; sister-in-law, Fujie Wada of Ewa Beach, Oahu; a niece; nephews.
