Big Island police on Thursday charged a 20-year-old former Pahoa man with several offenses stemming from a domestic violence incident.

Ronsten Keone Andrade III, also known as Ronsten Andrade Tripp, was charged with two counts each of abuse of a family or household member and felony abuse of a family or household member, and one count each of second-degree terroristic threatening, kidnapping, interference with reporting an emergency or crime and second-degree robbery, according to the Hawaii Police Department. Bail was set at $101,000.

The charges stem from an unspecified incident in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision in Puna where a victim alleged that she was assaulted by Andrade, according to police. Andrade also reportedly used force to remove items from the victim, prevented her from leaving and reporting the incident to police.

The 19-year-old woman declined treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
