Victor Joesph Dorado Elloso, 32, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Sept. 17 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced to pay $437 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also perform an unspecified number of community service hours.
Stephen C. Salley, 57, of Puna pleaded no contest Sept. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to pay $937 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.
Shawn K. Cantor, 42, of Captain Cook pleaded guilty Sept. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol, inattention to driving, and consuming or possessing and intoxicating liquor while operating a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to pay $1,011 in fines and fees, in addition to an undisclosed fine, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.
Cory Andrew Strantz, 29, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Sept. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to pay $587 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.
Chelsea Thrasher, 22, of Honolulu pleaded guilty Sept. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with an improper license and failure to have no-fault motor vehicle insurance. She was sentenced to pay $511 in fees, in addition to an disclosed fine, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. She must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time and her license was revoked.
James L. Johnston, 59, of Kona pleaded guilty Sept. 20 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to pay $937 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time.
