Robert Sherlock

Robert “Bob” William Sherlock, 74, of Hilo, died Sept. 26 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born April 27, 1938, in Chicago, he was a retired supervisor for Loomis Fargo Armor, member of Prince David Kawananakoa Hawaiian Civic Club and Hawaiian Civic Club of Laupahoehoe, and former member of Civitan.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Ululani Sherlock, of Hilo; son, Richard (Shawna) Sherlock, of Hilo; sister, Shirley King, of Flemingsburg, Ky.; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sally Palacol

Sally Palacol, 71, of Kalaoa, died Sept. 19 at her residence. Born Sept. 19, 1941, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker; a sales clerk at the Kona Inn Gift Store, Kona Trader’s, Islander General Store and Pomare’s Clothing Store; and a cook at Maxwell’s Landing.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Holualoa for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Kona Memorial Park. Luncheon and fellowship will take place at the Kona Palisades Recreation Center. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by sons, Noland (Diane) Palacol and Benjamin Palacol Jr., both of Kalaoa, Darrin Palacol, of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Melanie (Shane Higashi) Palacol, of Kalaoa, Trinidad (Nelson) Domingues, of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Demetrio Campogan, of Honolulu, Richard Campogan, of Hookena, Frank (Lita) Campogan, of Honaunau; sisters, Connie Perez, of Whittier, Calif., Gloria (Jim) Phillips, of Torrance, Calif.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
