Practice adds more danger at intersections
There should be a law that requires political signwavers to be 500 fet from an intersection and 1,000 feet from a signalized intersection.
Intersections are extremely dangerous at any speed and having any unnecessary distractions for drivers at these locations is really stupid.

Who is playing
all the games?
Is anyone else getting tired of this garbage? This road should have been done by now. Who here is looking out after the taxpayers and the people living on the Big Island, especially Kona, that will benefit from having this short stretch of road completed?
First it’s a one company suing another, then it’s an “accidental” finding of a possible historical site — which should have been found years ago when this was first planned.
So my question is, who is playing all the games and why? Even with this latest “discovery,” (where was this Native Hawaiian hui years ago when this was all put on paper and bids went out?) I see no valid reason why the road couldn’t be started and work moving ahead in areas that are not deemed historical or subject to some other bogus reason for not being completed.
Does anyone realize that costs will continue to rise the longer we wait? Does anyone realize this is work for construction people that would likely be excited about working and they could get off the state welfare/food stamp rolls?
Do we have a bunch of clowns in charge of this whole mess? Do we need to fire everyone and start over? Do we have unions and “good ole boys” that aren’t happy with their “cut?”
Someone needs to give a good reason why this isn’t done already.
Another fine example of cronyism in Hawaii?
