Association seeks Kona coffee servers
In 2011, the Kona Coffee Farmers Association identified more than 30 restaurants and cafes in West Hawaii that serve 100 percent Kona coffee and presented each with a certificate honoring them.
If there are any new restaurants or cafes or any that were missed last year that have 100 percent Kona coffee on their menu, the association wants to hear about them.
During the 2011 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival, a list of these restaurants and cafes was published in the local news media so residents and visitors would know where to go to get a cup or two of Kona’s specialty coffee.
The list will again be published during this year’s festival.
To be added to the list, email clare@ huahuafarm.com or call 322-7094 with information.
The association is a volunteer, nonprofit, community-based organization of coffee farmers with the mission to promote and protect the economic interests of Kona coffee farmers who grow and sell 100 percent Kona coffee and to seek greater legal protection of the Kona coffee name.
