Kamehameha-Hawaii swept Konawaena 3-0 in key Big Island Interscholastic Federation girls and boys bowling matches Saturday at Hilo Lanes.

The Wildcat girls entered the match against Kamehameha tied with Kealakehe atop the BIIF standings with 7-1 records. But the private-school Warriors battled past Konawaena as Namele Naiyo Arsiga led the charge with high games of 128 and 131. Aretha Tedula (146, 147) led the Wildcats.

The Konawaena boys entered their afternoon match with Kamehameha with a 7-1 record and only a win behind unbeaten Waiakea (8-0). But the Warriors rode high games from Kristopher Konanui (222, 154), Cody Pereira (189, 186) and Jaykob Barros (144, 143).

Conrad Hildebrand (171) led the Wildcats.

BIIF bowlers have a bye this week and wrap up the regular season next Wednesday with matches between Keaau and Waiakea at Hilo Lanes.

The BIIF bowling team and individual championships will be held Oct. 27 at Hilo Lanes. The state tournament will be held Nov. 3 on Kauai.

St. Joseph, under athletic director Chloe Thurston and assistant Jacob Doolittle, has provided bowling results this season.
