Jacqueline “Jackie” Masae Kaya, 50, of Hilo, died Aug. 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a WPC clerk at the Hawaii Police Department, member of Heritage Christian Fellowship and Hawaii Government Employees Association.

Friends may call at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. Burial is at 10 a.m. Sept. 6 at Homelani Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by fiance, George Makua, of Hilo; parents, Asami (Lei) Kaya, of Hilo; brothers, Ronald (Carol Farias) Kaya and Randall (Candace Paul) Kaya, both of Hilo; sisters, Jasmine Iyo and Lorraine Lerma, both of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
