Michael Lloyd Williams, 69, of Hilo, died Sept. 4 at his residence. Born in Portsmouth, Va., he was general contractor and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Ainaola Ward) and Boy Scouts of America.

Friends may call at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hilo Stake Center for a 4 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 9 a.m. Sept. 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laie Back Chapel on Oahu for a 10 a.m. service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl Cemetery). Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Norma Williams, of Hilo; daughter, Dawn (Vernon) Ubando, of Hauula; stepsons, Robert Cullen and Shane Cullen, of Laie, Oahu; stepdaughters, Tinamarie Green, of Kailua, Oahu, Lisa Santiago, of Honolulu, Kaui Benson, of Laie, Oahu; brother, Douglas Williams, of Concord, Calif.; three grandchildren; 15 stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.
