Police are seeking witnesses to a July 13 fatal motor vehicle versus motorcycle crash on Mamalahoa Highway near mile marker 17 north of Puuanahulu.

Police are seeking witnesses to a July 13 fatal motor vehicle versus motorcycle crash on Mamalahoa Highway near mile marker 17 north of Puuanahulu.

Randall C. Guadiz, 41, of Waikoloa died two days after the 10:38 p.m. crash, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Guadiz was operating a northbound 1998 Honda motorcycle when he apparently overtook a vehicle in a no-passing zone and then sideswiped a 2012 Toyota four-door sedan traveling south, according to police. The driver of the Toyota, a 45-year-old California woman, was not injured.
