A 36-year-old man was rescued Friday morning after apprently becoming lost while hunting Wednesday in a forest near Mauna Loa Estates in Puna. The man was located about 40 minutes after Hawaii Fire Department search teams began their second day of searching in the area for the man who reportedly had left around 9 a.m. Wednesday to hunt for pigs, according to the department.

The man apparently became disoriented in thick fog and vegetation, according to the department. He reported no injuries and was in good medical condition.
