Raphael J. Curry, 86, of Hilo, died Aug. 17 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in New York, he retired as a district manager for ITT Communications.
Private service are planned.
He is survived by wife, Miriam Curry, of Hilo; sons, Raphael (Patti) Curry and Anthony (Kathleen) Curry, both of Washington; stepsons Lawrence (Jay) Haili and Scott Haili, both of Hilo; stepdaughters, Johnette (Anthony) Baptista, of Honokaa, Marlene (Alan) Kuraoka, Sandy (Craig) Hopkins and Cheryl (Henry) Rente, all of Oahu; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
